About Quick Supper Ideas
Hi, I'm Karim, the home cook behind Quick Supper Ideas. I started this site because, like a lot of people, I kept reaching the end of a long workday with no plan for dinner and about twenty minutes of energy left. Takeaway got expensive and repetitive, and most "quick" recipes I found online quietly assumed forty-five minutes and a fully stocked pantry.
Our mission
Quick Supper Ideas exists to make real, home-cooked dinners possible on busy weeknights. Every recipe here can be on the table in 20 minutes or less, uses ingredients you can find in an ordinary supermarket, and is written so that a tired cook can follow it without rereading every step.
How the recipes are made
Each recipe is cooked in my own kitchen on a standard home stove, with times measured from the moment the first pan goes on. I write down what actually happens: the sounds and colors that tell you something is ready, the mistakes I made along the way, and the swaps that worked when I was missing an ingredient. Safe internal temperatures follow USDA guidance, and prep times assume you're reasonably comfortable with a knife.
Where it makes sense, every recipe includes gluten-free, dairy-free, or vegetarian variations, plus notes on storage and reheating, because leftovers are part of how busy households eat.
What you won't find here
No twelve-step sauces, no specialty equipment, and no recipes I haven't cooked myself. If a dish can't honestly be made in 20 minutes, it doesn't go on this site.
